Abstract Submission Details

Please ensure that your abstract meets the following requirements:

·      The abstract should be written in academic English and include 250–300 words.

·      The title should not exceed 15 words.

·      The abstract must be clear, concise, and well organized, presenting the purpose, theoretical background or context, method (if applicable), and key findings or expected outcomes.

·      Submissions should be original and aligned with one of the conference strands.

·      To ensure anonymous review, do not include author names or institutional affiliations in the content of the abstract.

·      Provide 3–5 keywords at the end of the abstract.

 

Submissions may report completed research, work in progress, conceptual papers, pedagogical innovations, or practical applications related to English language studies. We welcome abstracts addressing, but not limited to, the following strands:

·      Second Language Learning and Teaching (e.g., SLA, pedagogy, CLIL/EMI, translanguaging, ESP, professional development)

·      Language, Society, and Communication (e.g., multilingualism, glocalization, sociolinguistics, intercultural communication, identity)

·      Language Assessment and Language Policy (e.g., testing, evaluation, language policy and planning)

·      Discourse and Language Analysis (e.g., discourse analysis, corpus linguistics, digital discourse)

·      Technology and Language Education (e.g., AI, CALL, language in social media)

·      Language, Culture, and Texts (e.g., literature, linguistic landscape, translation & interpretation)

 

Evaluation Process

All abstracts undergo a double-blind peer-review process and are assessed independently by two reviewers using the criteria below.

·      Relevance and significance of the study

·      Originality of the research and strength of its theoretical foundation

·      Quality of the research design or conceptual framework

·      Clarity and organization of the abstract

 

Submission Policy

·      The abstract must be original work and must not have been presented at other conferences.

·      Individuals may submit one abstract as first author and multiple submissions as co-author.

·      Abstracts, presentations, and materials must be in English.

·      Abstracts will be evaluated through a double-blind peer review process.

·      Do not include author names or identifying information in the abstract content.

Presentation Format

Oral presentations are delivered live to an audience by one or more authors within a 30-minute session, consisting of 20 minutes for the presentation followed by 10 minutes for questions and answers.
